The practice itself
- Step-free entrance from the street — no lip and no step.
- Every treatment suite on one level; there are no stairs inside the practice.
- An accessible toilet with grab rails and a step-free approach.
- Chairs with arms in the waiting area, which matters a great deal if standing up is difficult.
- A loading bay directly outside the door, about four paces from the kerb to a chair.
- Adjustable-height couches in every suite, so nobody has to climb onto anything.
- A recovery room by the door with a chair, a blanket and no clock in it.
- Nine languages between the clinicians and the front desk, and we will find an interpreter if we cannot manage yours.
Tell us when you book
The notes field on the booking form is a good place to say what you need — that you use a wheelchair, that you cannot lie flat, that you need extra time, that you would rather not be touched without warning, that you are bringing somebody with you, or that you would prefer a particular language. None of it is an imposition and all of it makes the appointment work better. You can also telephone the practice and say it out loud.
